Beach Baby

We live right near the beach and we love the beach! It is a special place for Jason and I but for some reason we never took Jenna to the beach. I was thinking about this one week trying to find a time for us to go as a family. I knew I could load up Jenna, beach toys, towels and sunscreen and head out any time I wanted but I wanted Daddy to come for Jenna's first beach experience. We have been so busy it seemed like it would never happen. So I decided to just ask Jason if we could go one Friday when he finished working at the church. He loved the idea. I packed a picnic dinner and got everything together and headed down to meet him. We went to Folly beach (where we met and he proposed to me). I think just saying that Jenna loved it would be an understatement!

This is after eating dinner before experiencing the sand. She loved the wind blowing!

First time in the sand! At first she wasn't sure about it but it only took a few minutes before she was digging in and getting sand everywhere!

She was ready to head down to the water right away. We had to quickly catch up to her!

Once by the water she enjoyed playing in the wet sand as well.

She loved walking in the waves with her Daddy!

The first time we got her near the waves she wasn't to sure about the water. It only took a few minutes for her to begin to love it!

Overall an awesome family evening!

She was so excited about the beach she talked the whole way home! We have been back once since then and she loved it the second time! We have plans to go more with our new friend Olivia!

July Travels!

Well my first birthday was on Sunday July 10th. Daddy and Mommy put me to sleep that night and when I woke up they were GONE!!! Grandma was there to get me ready and take care of me. Daddy and Mommy left and went to California for a whole week without me!!! Grandma got me all ready and then drove me to Columbia to meet Nana. I spend the week with Nana, Papa, and Aunt Hope (and Josh was there most of the time too). I got to Skpye Daddy and Mommy twice! That was a lot of fun! Daddy and Mommy went to a conference and said they had a wonderful time. Then they spent some time with a sweet couple, Mr. & Mrs. Irmler. They drove all around looking at the different areas of California. Then they went to three different churches on Sunday! Two were called Victory Baptist Church! They said they had a wonderful time and can't wait for me to see how amazing California is.

Well since I was with Nana and Papa I didn't have very many rules!!! Thankfully Aunt Hope tried to keep me under control but Nana didn't like that very much! I guess when I'm with Nana I can do whatever I want as long as I don't hurt myself!

Well that was only adventure #1 for July!

We got back home on Monday and then we left again on Thursday! We went to Maryland for Daddy's family's family reunion. We took Miss Taylor with us for part of the trip! I loved having Miss Taylor with me in the back seat! She was fun to play with! We left Miss Taylor with the Butler's in North Carolina and then went the rest of the way! We stayed at Aunt Marcia's house and I met a lot of new people! I don't remember everyone but they all thought I was adorable!

The next morning someone new got me out of my pack and play! It was Uncle Mike! I liked him! He cuddled me for a long time that morning!

 

 

We left there and then went to see the Butlers!!! YAY! I missed them sooooooo much! We went to Pastor's new church and got to meet a lot of new people. It was great! The next morning we spent all day with the girls. Allie took pictures of me for my birthday. That evening we had dinner with the whole family and then had to leave!

 

 

 

We got home around midnight! Once home Mommy said we are not taking any trips for a long time!!! We were all ready to be home for a little while! What a busy July we had!

I'm 1!!!

Well it happened...I turned 1!

My birthday was on Sunday July 10!

We went to church and Mommy had nursery so I got to stay with her and play. Then we went to Grandma & Granddad's house for lunch. We had some dish with noodles! I love noodles! Then for dessert there was a worm and dirt cake. I didn't get to eat any because I was already on the floor playing.

Aunt Marcia and Aunt Ashley came! They also gave me a present! It was a really cute outfit, tights, shoes, socks, and an awesome ring stacking toy.

My 1st Birthday Party!

I had my first birthday party on July 1st! We had it at James Island County Park. It was so much fun! Mommy decorated everything in pink and yellow and there were bugs and flowers everywhere! I had my first whole cupcake! I loved it - once the icing was gone. The icing was too sticky! I also loved opening up my presents! I got a ton of new toys and clothes! I can't wait to show off all my new outfits! I have been enjoying playing with all the new toys! Here are some of the fun pictures.
